2015 New Year Resolutions

I normally don’t do New Years resolutions because people never stick to them about a month or two down the road. However, this year I’m feeling pretty optimistic and as opposed to focusing on changing, I want to focus on growing and expanding.

  • The completely clichΓ© commitment to a healthier lifestyle: I am not setting a goal weight for myself because I am beginning to love my curves for what they are, but I do want to be healthier overall. I plan on seeing a nutritionist to help me learn how to eat right and I have set aside three times a week for me to go to the gym.
  • Evolving my blog: My blog is still less than a year old so 2014 was really just me trying to figure out exactly how I wanted it and how to do it. Now that I’m getting the hang of it and I got a beautiful new camera for Christmas, I am really going to work on improving my photo quality, my content, and figuring out all the little tricks to making it better for my readers. (Let me know if you have any suggestions!)
  • Putting God first: Every year people claim that they will do this, but I don’t want to just say it and not mean it. This year I will be sure to read my devotional as much as possible, pray more, and find a church that I enjoy.
  • Continue to work towards my dreams: This year I will continue writing for my college newspaper, I will try some more freelancing, and I will find at least one internship. I’ve already been accepted to a study abroad course to Italy and a week long course in California. Two new places and two new adventures that will help me gain knowledge about the fashion industry. I’m so excited. I am getting closer and closer to finishing my undergraduate degree and that much more closer to my dream job as a fashion journalist.

Happy New Year!
~2015~

Much Love, Kayla
xoxo
