Ipsy Review #19: “Metropolis” January Glam Bag

Ipsy Review #19: “Metropolis” January Glam Bag

New Years, my birthday, January was a pretty exciting month for me so I hoped for a pretty impressive glam bag. And I was lucky enough to get one! I actually loved all of the products and it’s probably because I actually updated my beauty preferences on Ipsy’s website. Here is what I got:

Crown Brush Beaute Basics C405 Contour Blush Brush

So honestly, I don’t really contour. But, that doesn’t mean you have to let a good brush go to waste! I used it for bronzer and it worked wonderfully. It would also be good for a highlight or blush because the angle is a good shape for your cheekbones. Plus, it’s super soft.

Trust Fund BeautyLip Gloss in “Method to the Madness”

This lipgloss is so shiny and pretty. Great for everyday. It has a little color to it, but the shade is very natural. It’s not sticky either.

TEMPTU Base Smooth & Matte Primer

I haven’t used a primer in a while, but when I tried this one it made me decide to wear it again. It gave my face such a smooth surface for my makeup and it didn’t make it feel dry or flakey or any of that. It’s very light so I didn’t  feel gross at all either (which is muy importante).

Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Desert Sunset #02

This. is. so. beautiful. I am obsessed! The shimmer and pigment are perfection. Probably my new favorite eyeshadow, not kidding.

pur~lisse Blue Lotus Seed 5-in-1 mud mask + exfoliant

This mud mask has some tingle in it, but it really makes my face feel smooth and refreshed. I love treating myself to weekly face masks and mud masks are one of my favorites so this was another winner.

The Bag

This super cute bag was inspired by skyscrapers, according to Ipsy.com. I love the silver metallic and cutouts. The material of this bag needs to be made into a jacket or something so I can wear it all the time.

xoxo, Kayla

It looks like such a lovely bag this month 🙂 I stopped my subscription a couple of years ago but I now try Birchbox and Sephora Play. Have you tried these?

No I haven’t! I’ve been thinking about trying something new though. Which do you like best?

They’re both good, but I just think I’m more likely to buy something from the Sephora Play one just because that’s where I buy makeup. You also get 50 extra Beauty Insider points if you make a purchase within the month of getting the bag!
