MY HAIR TRANSFORMATIONS OF 2017

MY HAIR TRANSFORMATIONS OF 2017

So last year I didn’t do this, but I decided to do it again this year (here is the one from 2015) because my hair went through A LOT of changes in 2017. I am known to change my hair a lot already, but this year I had more fun with color than ever and I really started embracing my curls more as well (I even got to attend CurlFest). Here is what I got into…

I started off the year pretty natural, which I actually do a lot. My hair was all black for the first few months of the year. As much as I love color, it is always nice to revert back to my all-dark hair.

After a few months, I decided to do a color I’ve never done before … green! Well, it was actually kind of teal, but either way it gave me major mermaid vibes!

Of course, it faded out a few times and I had to keep touching it up…

After I went to Charleston in May/June, the sun and salt water pretty much wiped out the green/teal completely, so I decided to embrace the blonde ombre and make it even more extreme! I actually really liked this look and I ended up keeping this color for the rest of the year.

The hair transformation I was hands down the most excited for in 2017 was my curl rejuvenation! For my job at CafeMom I am required to pitch video ideas in addition to the writing that I do. One of my videos that ended up getting made involved me having a “curl professional” help out my hair! Obviously my curls were super damaged from the dye and straightening over the years, so I couldn’t even remember what they used to look like to be honest. But, Ona Diaz Santin of 5 Salon & Spa saved my curls! She literally brought them back to life and you can watch how in this video — which has received over 8 MILLION views as of now! I am still working on forming a better curly hair routine, but I now have the tools to treat my hair better and I’m so grateful!

Curls on fleek! <3

That was pretty much how my hair was for the last few months of 2017. I stopped straightening it as much and started switching up how I care for it.

I was also exposed to my first wig experience at CafeMom! For another video, I imitated a Kylie Jenner look and this wig may have been cheap, but it still looked pretty bomb! It definitely has me thinking about investing in my own wigs!

I’m really excited to try more new things with my hair in 2018. I already couldn’t resist something new for the new year, so here is a peak at my brand new PINK ombre. Btw, I didn’t add any more bleach, I just used my trusty Splat dye over my already blonde ombre. I’m expecting this to fade pretty quick and I’ll probably only touch it up once before I change it again.

What should my next look be?
