It’s officially the last month of 2019! This year has been amazing and I’m so blessed to be ending it in a new apartment, at my dream job, and living in my dream city with my best friend. Last month was kind of a blur with all of the moving and getting situated. I also took a short trip to Michigan. I didn’t do a whole lot while I was there, but I’ll be back again in just a couple weeks for Christmas. My Thanksgiving was spent back in NYC and it was very low key, I just stayed in bed most of the day and ate pecan pie haha.
Most of November revolved around unpacking. And this month I’m already feeling overwhelmed with plans and travel and everything (but, I guess that’s what the holidays are for). Like I mentioned above, I’ll be going to Michigan in a couple weeks again, so I have very limited time to completely finish unpacking and getting my apartment in a good place for the new year! I also have some holiday parties and fun pop-up exhibits I’ll be hitting while I’m still in NYC. In addition to that, I’m also doing VLOGMAS for the first time ever on YouTube!
But, before we get too deep into everything I’m doing in December, here are some of my favorite things from November:
November Favorites
Beauty: This may be a little boring, but honestly the thing I’ve been obsessed with lately is my tube of Carmex! With winter approaching I hate when my lips get chapped and I’ve been applying Carmex constantly. I’ve also been loving the Frank Body Snow Scrub. This is the first time I’ve tried the brand and I really like it so far! The creamy body scrub is gentle, smells nice, and does make my skin feel hydrated.
Fashion: In early November I got to shop the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection. There were two things I bought that I really loved, which were a leopard print hoodie and a transparent pink clutch that says “Love” in rhinestones (pictured above). I also bought a shirt and a lighter (pictured above) from a limited Keith Haring x Diamond collection, which I think are pretty dope.
Movies: I usually try to wait until after Thanksgiving to watch Christmas movies, but while I was chilling back home in Michigan, I couldn’t help myself and I watched Let It Snow on Netflix. I thought it was cute and weird. If you like teen rom coms or if you were a fan of Love Actually, then you might enjoy this one.
TV: For Thanksgiving, I rewatched all of the Thanksgiving episodes of Gossip Girl ā and then ended up rewatching the whole first season haha. I would keep watching, but that is one BIG time commitment lol. And I also dove into Disney+ by watching The Suite Life of Zach and Cody… who knew young, awkward Cody would grow up to be Jughead Jones! Ha.
