What I Wore To NYFW FW20

What I Wore To NYFW FW20

This season for NYFW FW20 I attended six fashion shows and presentations, with a few brand events and photo shoots sprinkled throughout. Needless to say, it was a pretty busy few days and I honestly didn’t do a lot of outfit planning beforehand. Luckily, I ended up really liking the outfits I came up with. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Look 1: Warm Tones & Animal Print

On my first full day of fashion week events, I also had a photo shoot. It was freezing outside, so I wanted to layer up. I started this outfit with my mixed animal print Fila’s, and for some reason, I really like to wear warm tones with animal print accents. So, I went with a plain orange-ish tan sweater dress layered with a Cynthia Rowley longline vest. Because that definitely wasn’t warm enough and I wanted to add something more unique, I also put on my black organza jacket. And to bring out the animal print in the shoes more, I wore my leopard and metallic Steve Madden belt bag. I was still cold, but I liked the way this outfit came together (and it was honestly pretty last-minute).

Look 2: Satin Blazer & Sparkles

I had been waiting to wear this satin blazer for a while. Although it’s just a fast fashion piece I found at Forever 21, I really feel good in it! It looks so chic. I decided to wear black sparkly bike shorts. under it and a turtleneck that just so happened to match perfect. The fishnets were meant to help keep me warm, but also add some sassiness to the look. Then, I accessorized with my fave black knee-high boots, large blue sunglasses, and a Kate Spade purse. The gray jacket wasn’t really part of the outfit plan, but it was COLD.

Look 3: Faux Fur, Sequins, & Pearls

This look is another one that was very last-minute ā€” but it ended up being a big hit. I got so many compliments on this fabulous jacket. It was gifted to me from CoEdition a couple months ago and I was so excited to rock it. I wanted to allow the jacket to shine, so I kept the pants and shoes simple. I wore black satin cargo pants from the Ashley Graham x Pretty Little Thing collection and some black Steve Madden boots. Underneath the jacket, I wore a black velvet bodysuit and stayed pretty warm. My accessories added to the extra-ness a bit with a pearl theme. I wore a giant pearl necklace that I had picked up off the free table at work, some old pearl earrings, and scrunchies with pearls attached from TJ Maxx. It was such a fun LEWK. āœØ
