After three years of being away at different colleges, you would think that it would be hard to remain close to your high school best friends. However, every time I get to see my friends, Kailena and Bianca, it’s like nothing ever changed. I go to Eastern Michigan University, Kailena attends Michigan State University, and Bianca is away at The University of Chicago. Since, Kailena and I are already out of classes for the summer, we decided to take a weekend road trip to visit Bianca in Chicago. It was a lot of fun and I got to do all of the touristy stuff. When we weren’t talking and being lazy in her dorm, we spent a whole day roaming Downtown Chi-Town. We went to Navy Pier and the Water Tower Place. We had dessert at The Cheesecake Factory, I had my first Chicago style hotdog, and I tried the famous Garrett’s Popcorn for the first time. Yum! I always have a good time when I get to go to Chicago. When is the last time you caught up with your best friends?
