Last month I went on my second study abroad trip to London and Paris. We took a direct flight from Detroit to London and spent our first 3-4 days there. Surprisingly, London reminded me a lot of the U.S. because they speak English, most of the food is the same (just fresher and better tasting) and it’s very modern compared to my last European adventure in Italy. It was easy to get wifi everywhere we went too. Our hotel was very nice. It was small, but super clean and cute.We saw Big Ben, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and pretty much all of the touristy places. It was busy like New York City and we got around mostly by the Tube (subway). I also go to ride on a double decker bus. We shopped at flea markets, wandered around Harrods and Liberty, I saw Platform 9 3/4 (from Harry Potter) at King’s Cross and the best part… it was London Fashion Week! We got to see Fashion Utopias, which was a fashion week exhibit featuring designs from all over the world. That was probably my favorite part. We also saw a lot of galleries and museums. My favorite exhibit was Vogue 100 at the National Portrait Gallery. It was so amazing and I would love to go back one day!
