Coach’s ‘Life Coach’ Immersive Pop-Up

Coach’s ‘Life Coach’ Immersive Pop-Up

Earlier this summer I went to check out Coach’s immersive pop-up experience in Soho. My first designer purse ever was a gold Coach tote with C’s all over it from my Aunt Gert. After that, I begged my parents for a new Coach purse every Christmas for years. Coach was my favorite brand for a while, it made me feel so luxurious. And although I have expanded my collection of purses to other brands over the years, Coach still holds a special place in my heart. That’s why I was super excited when I found out the brand was having a free immersive pop-up experience.

When I got to the exhibit I had no idea what to expect. Right when I walked into the old building in lower Manhattan, I was instructed to pick up a ringing phone at a phone booth. It was hard to hear the creepy voice on the other end, but basically it was welcoming me to “Life Coach.” I was then given a bag of 3 or 4 coins, which would basically unlock something in each room.

The first room I entered was a blank subway station where they handed out a small bucket of markers and stickers in exchange for one of the coins. I was then allowed to graffiti anywhere I wanted in the room! The next area was set up like a carnival. They were giving out free cotton candy… yum! The carnival room also had photo booths, games, a place for you to write letters to yourself, a DJ, and a Zoltar fortune teller machine (which spit out a fortune in exchange for a coin). The final room looked like a dark mystical forest. It was set up with booths for tarot card readings, however I didn’t participate in it (tbh, it creeps me out a little bit).

At the end of the journey, they handed me a horoscope card and a coupon for the local Coach store. It was a pretty cool event! It was definitely something super unique for a fashion brand and I think it’s awesome that they did it for free. Check out my photos below to see how incredible the experience was!

xoxo, Kayla
