How To Make A Digital Vision Board

How To Make A Digital Vision Board

I make a vision board almost every year, but this was the first year I decided to go the digital route. As much as I love printing off pictures and buying cute craft supplies, a digital vision board does seem to be a bit more practical. Here are some of the reasons why:

  1. They’re free to make.
  2. You can save them on your phone, computer, and/or iPad so it’s always easily accessible.
  3. You don’t have to worry about where to hang it or store it and what to do with it when the year is over.

To make my digital vision board, I followed most of the same steps I normally do when I create a vision board. I like to pick one major theme/word for the year. Last year it was GROWTH. Then, I think about what areas I want to apply that theme to. Usually it’s things like my career, content, travel, health, finances, self-care, and faith. Afterwards, I brainstorm some more specific things I want to do, like try a new hair color or redecorate my room.

Once you have a theme, goals, and some plans jotted down. Look for images (I use Pinterest) that represent the key things you want out of the year. As I found images that inspired me, I saved them to my phone. Then, I used Canva to make a digital collage. Canva is great because not only can you upload all of your images, but you can also use the plethora of images, text, and elements that they have.

My 2022 Digital Vision Board

Here’s a look at my 2022 vision board that I made on Canva:

My theme/word for the year is BALANCE. I would really like to bring more intentional balance to my life in an effort to help me feel more productive and organized, and less anxious and “busy.” And to give you an idea of why I chose these images, here are some of my 2022 goals:

  • Try snowboarding
  • Travel to Europe
  • Get into digital planning with my new iPad
  • Increase my gym time
  • Find a new apartment that brings me joy
  • Read more!
  • Create more sneaker content so people can see me as an expert
  • Carve out more time for relaxation
  • Start journaling

After I’ve filled the vision board with my images, I also like to throw in some quotes to help keep me on track throughout the year. On my vision board, you’ll see:

  • “God’s got you, sis.”
  • “Owning your story is the bravest thing you’ll ever do.”
  • “Find a way, not an excuse.”
  • “No longer available for things I don’t wanna do.”

And then I pop in some cute graphics as space fillers and that’s it! I honestly love the way my vision board turned out. I hope this post was helpful!
