Holiday Outfit Ideas For Every Occassion

Holiday Outfit Ideas For Every Occassion

We’re just a few days away from Christmas and I love to dress for the occasion! Whether you’ll be hosting a big family dinner, getting out of the house, or staying in your pajamas all day, it’s all part of the holiday fun. Here are a few holiday outfit ideas for every occasion, just in case you need some ideas for what to wear when December 25th rolls around.

Festive Sweater and Mini Skirt

This cute and sassy look is great for all kinds of occasions, from holiday parties to checking out the newest Christmas-themed bar. I’ve had this sweater from Torrid for a while and I love pulling out for the holidays. The mini skirt was given to me by one of my friends, but I’m pretty sure it’s from Shein. Then I just added some black tights and a red lip to complete the look. For shoes, you could go with black boots or a heel.

Cozy Sweater Dress and Booties

I love a sweater dress in the winter. They have so many possibilities and work for so many different occasions. This “Let it snow” dress is super soft and comfy. I dressed it up a bit with white booties, fun sunglasses, and blue fluffy hoops. Something like this great for a casual occasion that you still want to look cute for, like a dinner with loved ones.

Sequin Dress and Red Tights

This sequin T-shirt-style dress from Eloquii is loose and comfy, but still super festive and fun. I love a good sequins moment and this dress would also totally work for New Years. I paired it with bright red tights from Snag, a thick and warm Karl Lagerfeld scarf, a houndstooth blazer jacket, and black combat boots from Steve Madden. And of course I had to top the look off with a red lip.

Velvet Pantsuit

I got this gorgeous velvet pantsuit from Universal Standard and I have been dying to wear it for months. I finally put it on for a holiday shoot and now I love it even more. It’s super comfy and feels so thick and luxurious. It’s such a simple way of feeling sophisticated and put-together. To go along with the holiday theme, I added a metallic crossbody bag that I got ages ago from Henri Bendel and my metallic Fila Disruptors.

Green Sweater & Jeans

Another more casual outfit idea is a simple sweater and jeans. This fuzzy sweater was found at Forever 21 and the green pants are from ASOS. Colored denim can really add a bit of ~extraness~ to the look. And I added my comfy Yeezy 350 Boost kicks for a chill vibe.

A Red Dress

A red dress is always a classic choice for the holiday season. You can dress one up or down depending on the occasion. I wore this Amazon dress to go to an interactive exhibit and dinner with my girls. I layered a white net bodysuit underneath from Shein and added a cute peppermint candy novelty bag from Bath and Body Works. To accessorize, I added a white choker, silver hoops, and Moschino sneakers.

Velvet Dress & A Turtleneck

I recently wore this outfit to a broadway show, so I think it’s perfect for going to see a show during the holiday season. Velvet dresses were pretty much made for this time of year. I found this Betsey Johnson dress at T.J. Maxx. Since it’s sleeveless, I layered a sparkly turtleneck top underneath. And because you can’t have too many sparkles during the holidays, I added a sparkly bag too. For shoes, I wore my go-to black boots from Target.

Christmas Sweater & Leggings

I got this super cute SpongeBob sweatshirt from Forever 21 — and yes, it lights up! Pair a Christmas sweater with comfy leggings and you’re ready for a day filled of eggnog or hot cocoa and holiday movies on the couch. This is also a fun look for an ugly Christmas sweater party (you might just be the cutest one at the party).

Christmas Onesie or PJs

And for those who don’t want to dress up, there’s definitely nothing wrong with staying in your pajamas all day. This Christmas onesie was a gift from my aunt and it’s super comfy!
