How To Style A Cute And Easy Witch Costume

This year, for my main costume, I dressed up as Cher from Clueless. But, my friends and I also enjoy doing a group costume whenever we get the chance. So, we decided to be witches. Styling a cute and easy witch costume is great for a group costume because it’s easy for everyone to put their own spin on it, while still looking cohesive. It’s also a great idea for a last-minute costume because you can put it together using things you probably already own. Of course buying specific accessories could help take it to the next level, but if you’re really on a budget or don’t have time, you honestly don’t have to.

What you need for an easy witch costume

The main thing is really just a black outfit. Most witchy costumes have some kind of flowy, fairy-like silhouette. So think of asymmetrical hemlines and bell sleeves. Other wardrobe pieces you can use for layering your look include: a corset, anything lace, and tights or stockings.

For accessories, of course a witch hat is the best thing to complete your look. But, if you don’t have one, try a regular wide brim hat. Other accessories that can add to the witchy look are chokers, layered necklaces, lots of rings, boots or booties, and dark lipstick. Props can also go a long way in adding the cherry on top of your look. I had a small plastic cauldron from Amazon and a plastic skull. You could also carry around a broom or a wand.
