Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year because it gives me an excuse to play dress up and get creative with my looks. I love taking classic characters and putting my own twist on them. This year, I decided to go with Disney-inspired costumes for my theme! From a chic villain to a whimsical fairy to a quirky tea party guest, each look let me channel a totally different vibe. Here’s a little breakdown of my Disney costume lineup!

Cruella de Vil

First up is the always fabulous and dramatic Cruella de Vil costume. I wanted this look to feel both fierce and fashion-forward. And, since it’s a pretty common costume choice, I wanted to make it my own. I styled a black and white ensemble complete with a faux fur coat (Shein), bold red lipstick (Fenty Beauty), and, of course, an iconic half-and-half wig (Shein). I love that this costume screams glam villain energy while still being comfortable enough for a night out. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to embrace their inner villain — but, ya know, make it fashion. My lacy little black dress and chunky boots are from Shein, and the red gloves and prop cigarette holder are from Amazon (btw my fake cigarette is just rolled up paper lol). To finish the look, I added some green eyeshadow (like the cartoon version), nude tights, and silver hoop earrings.

Tinker Bell

Next, I switched things up with a little Tinker Bell magic! This costume was playful, sparkly, and full of sass. I wore a green dress with a curve-hugging fit and paired it with iridescent wings and green sequin flats (the puff balls clip on!). And, for fun, I added some Fazit face sparkles. Tinker Bell was one of my favorite Disney characters when I was younger because she’s cute, confident, and not afraid to show a little attitude. This plus size version of the iconic fairy look made me feel just that — magical and unapologetic.

The Mad Hatter

Lastly, I brought a bit of Wonderland to Halloween with my Mad Hatter costume. This was probably my favorite! I went colorful and eclectic with this one, using a mix of patterns and bright accessories — mostly inspired by the Johnny Depp version of the character in the 2010 movie. This look was so much fun to put together and felt like the perfect combination of chaotic and creative, which tbh, fits my brand pretty well, hehe. I got basically everything from Amazon: the headband hat, neck tie, corset top, jacket, lace cuffs, thread “sash” thing, and even the cute tea cup. I used temporary orange hair spray on my curls, and I was so impressed with how good it looked *and* how easy it washed out! Would def recommend it for a temp hair dye job. The tights are from Snag Tights (like always) and my platform sneakers are Cristianzerotre. The Mad Hatter costume is a great option if you want something bold, unique, and a little bit eccentric.

I love that each of these costumes let me express a different side of my personality. Disney characters are such a great source of inspiration because you can make the looks as classic or as creative as you want — and there’s always a way to make them work for your shape and style. Whether you want to channel a villain, a fairy, or a mad tea party guest, there’s a Disney-inspired costume out there for every plus size fashion lover.
