Things have been super crazy lately because after my graduation I went to Charleston for my capstone and then after that I moved to NYC with my best friend! I’ve been trying to get my new room organized and decorated, while starting a new full-time internship. However, in the midst of all that, was the Fourth of July! Although I’m late, I still wanted to share what I did because it was my first time ever at Coney Island!
If you’ve never been to Coney Island, it’s essentially a huge amusement park and beach. Since we went on Independence Day it was beyond busy and the subway ride was over an hour from where we live, but it was still a lot of fun! We spent most of our time laying out and going in the water, but we also took a long walk down the pier. That was pretty great because we got frozen margaritas, beer, and hot dogs.
We considered doing other things too, like riding rides or going into the aquarium, but it was honestly just so busy (and expensive). We definitely have plans to go back! Not a bad way to kick off my new life in the Big Apple.
