A couple weeks ago, I went to Florida with my best friend to visit some of her family. I’ve been to Orlando a couple times and I’ve been to Panama City Beach, but this was my first time in the Tampa Bay Area. We spent most of our time in a town called Brooksville. Her great grandma has an adorable yellow trailer in a senior citizen neighborhood — which is where we stayed. It was very relaxing and we got to hang out with her grandma’s many Chihuahuas. Although I had to work remotely for a few days while we were there, it was nice to be able to travel somewhere new.
The weather was unfortunately too cold for the beach, but we still made the most of the trip! We spent one day in Tarpon Springs where we went on a boat ride to spot dolphins. Another day, we went on an airboat ride around a more swampy area. It was really fun, one of my favorite things we did hands down. We had a shopping day where I bought some adorable shoes and bags — btw, I’m going to be posting a spring shoe & bag haul soon! We also ate a lot of wonderful home cooked meals, which was fantastic of course. And we did spend our entire last day lounging at the country club pool! Overall, it was a much needed break from NYC and a really nice time!
Did you go anywhere for spring break this year?
xoxo, Kayla
