July 2018 Favorites + Reflection

I can’t believe we are already in the last month of summer! July flew by! Although I stayed put in NYC for the month and honestly just worked a lot, I still had some fun and went some cool places. I finally had a beach day with my besties and I attended CurlFest for the second year in a row (I’ll get more into that in my next post). I noticed I haven’t been reading quite as much as I was at the beginning of the year, but hopefully I can change that in August. Other than that, July was a pretty good month!

JULY FAVORITES:

Beauty Products: The ColourPop prep and set duo has been so good to me! I put on the primer at the beginning of my makeup routine and I put on the setting spray at the end. It definitely makes my face look less chalky and it helps my makeup stay on all throughout day — which is especially important when my face is sweaty and oily in the summer.

Movies: Since I watched all of the Sex and the City series in June, it was only right that I rent the films Sex and the City 1 & 2 right after. I also saw the second Ant-Man and the second Jurassic World in theaters. I enjoyed them both a lot, they both had a lot of action, humor, and emotion.

TV Shows: I watched all of Amazing Interiors on Netflix and I loved it! It was so interesting and the people on it were so creative. I also watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians season 14 on Hulu. Nothing much to say about it, the Kardashians are just as dramatic as they’ve always been. Haha.

Book: After obsessing over Milk and Honey, I had to read Rupi Kaur’s second book, The Sun and Her Flowers. It was so good! Very raw and emotional. She talked about love, family, self-love, and more. I would definitely recommend checking out her work.

Songs: “God Is A Woman” by Ariana Grande and “Fefe” by 6ix9ine & Nicki Minaj were my jams for July.

Places: In July I went on some pretty fun adventures. I attended CurlFest at Prospect Park, had a beach day at Coney Island, went to Central Park with some friends, and went to The Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the latest Met Gala fashion exhibit. And as usual, I attended some happy hours.

JULY REFLECTION:

For the month of July, I spent a lot of time thinking about what I want for my blog. I worked hard on my redesign, decided to start taking my social media and promoting more seriously, and I think I’m even going to start making videos on YouTube! I’m so excited about all of the content I’ve been working on and I’m so grateful to have you here, reading my work, looking at my pictures, and supporting me! Thank you so much! <3

JULY SNAPCHATS:
