On October 13, my friend and I attended an event in Long Island City, Queens, not far from my apartment. It was called OMG Dessert Goals and it’s basically a festival of New York’s best desserts. They also held one in Los Angeles a few months ago. The NYC one took place in a warehouse by the LIC waterfront. The inside was full of rainbow streamers and balloons. After waiting for few minutes, they released us all into a large space filled with tons of booths where you could buy all kinds of different desserts. They also offered a few free things: some salty snacks, water, coffee, and mochi.
As we walked from booth to booth we tried as many things as possible. I had some cookie dough and a scoop of ice cream inside of a donut. It was amazing. And I brought home even more! I got macaroons, rainbow chocolate chip cookies, a mini cake that looked like a flower, and the cutest cake pops ever! In the back of the large space were doors that led to a really cute outdoor area. There were tables outside to relax and eat your desserts and there were great photo spots as well.
My favorite dessert, appearance wise, was definitely the adorable cake pops, but the tastiest thing I ate was probably the cookie monster ice cream inside of the glazed donut. So good! Overall it was a really fun event and I probably should have brushed my teeth about three times afterwards –– but, you know, yolo! Check out all of my photos from Dessert Goals below.
