June 2019 Favorites

It’s summertime and so far I’m having a blast! I just started a new job at BuzzFeed (I’ll be doing a blog post about my career journey soon)! I also just went on a trip to Michigan to visit my family and friends and it was a really nice break. Earlier in June, I attended the Coney Island Mermaid Parade for the first time, I went to the MET to see the Camp exhibit, I saw Toy Story 4 (and cried), I checked out Showfields, went to a carnival in Queens, attended some rooftop happy hours, and I finished out my time working for The TODAY Show. Oh, and I got a new ear piercing lol.

June Favorites

Beauty: This month I tried new mini perfumes and I love them. I got the Moschino Fresh Couture gift set from Sephora for only $16. The set includes both the original Moschino Fresh Couture scent, which is light and kind of woodsy, and Moschino Fresh Pink Couture, which is more of a floral scent.

Fashion: BaubleBar was having a huge sale and I couldn’t help but grab a few new accessories. I got some bow drop earrings, iridescent hoops (pictured above), a polkadot scrunchie, and a lilac ring.

Movies: I saw Toy Story 4 opening weekend and it was super cute! Of course, I cried. I also saw Pikachu and although I was hesitant about it, I ended up loving it. It felt so nostalgic to see all of the Pokemon I loved as a kid come to life. And on Netflix, I watched Murder Mystery and Wine Country. Both are funny and worth a watch, but I liked Murder Mystery more.

TV: I’ve been really into the new seasons of Good Trouble and Grownish (Luca is bae for sure). They’re pretty much my favorite shows now that The Bold Type‘s season ended. I’ve also been watching The Bachelorette for the first time ever!!! My favorite was Mike before he went home, but I’m also into Tyler and I could maybe see her with Peter — ANYONE but Luke P.
