July was full of summer fun! A lot of shows and movies and even a new job!!! I officially started my position as market editor at BuzzFeed — and I totally love it so far! Right before I started, I was actually in Michigan, catching up with my family and friends and I had a great break. But since then, I’m back to working and staying busy in the city. This past month, I checked out the Museum of the Moving Image, I saw Rich the Kid perform at a party at Sony Hall, I went to CurlFest for the third time (more content on that coming soon!), I went to a Barcade with work, and attended BuzzFeed’s first Internet Live variety show at Webster Hall. And just this week, I saw #DateMe, which was a hilarious play about an actual experiment that a woman did on OKCupid. It was very unique and entertaining. Lots of cool stuff!

Here are a few photos I took at Internet Live:

July Favorites

Beauty: I finally tried an Urban Decay setting spray after hearing people rave about it all the time. I bought the Chill Cooling and Hydrating Makeup Setting Spray. According to the brand, the spray “features cooling time-release Temperature Control Technology that actually chills the surface of your makeup to keep it looking gorgeously just-applied for up to 12 hours.” I’ve been really impressed with it because it’s helped my makeup from melting off during this gross summer heat!

Fashion: I got my first pair of Quay sunglasses in a FabFitFun box and I love them! I’ve been wearing them nonstop and I love how they match any outfit or look. They’re definitely my new go-to shades.

Movies: This month was great for movies! I saw Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Lion King in the theater. Both were great! And on Netflix, I watched Swiped, which I must admit was not my favorite Noah Centineo flick, and Into the Spider-Verse, which I was pretty impressed with!

TV: Omg I’ve been watching so many shows this month! I’m keeping up with Good Trouble and Grownish weekly. I JUST finished my first season of The Bachelorette — I was totally team Tyler btw! And I watched Stranger Things 3, which was wild!

Music: As shocked as I am by her comeback, I’ve actually really been feeling Iggy Azalea’s new song with Kash Doll. I think it’s a fun, feel-good song that I like getting ready to.
