The last day of August was my best friend/roommate’s 25th birthday! And with it being Labor Day weekend, it kind of marked the end of summer… or Hot Girl Summer, as me and Megan Thee Stallion would refer to it as. So, my friends and I decided to go out with a bang by partying at Profundo Day Club.
Profundo is located in Long Island City, Queens, not far at all from mine and Kailena’s apartment. We randomly walked past it one day and decided that it would be the perfect place to celebrate Kailena’s birthday. So me, her, and our friend Aline put on our swimsuits and headed to the hidden gem.
The bougie rooftop club has a pool filled with trendy floaties, a bar with tons of drink and food options, a DJ, and a lawn full of lounge chairs and daybeds. We bought the $60 tickets for admission, which got us a lounge chair each; however when we arrived they upgraded us to a daybed for free (they usually cost about $500)! Apparently we showed up on a good day. It was honestly pretty chill and relaxing, not too crowded at all. I think both Kailena and Aline dozed off at some point.
The drinks were strong and the sun was blazing. Everyone was having a good time and posing for pictures. The club’s hours are 11am-7pm and we were there roughly 1pm until close, so I would say we got our money’s worth. It was definitely one of the most successful birthdays we’ve had in the city! So, if you plan on being in NYC next summer, I would totally recommend checking out Profundo Day Club.
