It’s almost New Years Eve, which for many of us means a sparkly outfit, dancing all night, and a champaign toast. Or, maybe even a midnight kiss. If you’re one of those girlies, like me, who loves to use NYE as an excuse to dress up and party with your friends, then you know the perfect dress is everything! I have had the hardest time deciding between different NYE party dress ideas this year. And if you’re in the same boat, then hopefully this post can help you get some inspiration!
Multicolor Sequin Skater Dress
This sequin skater dress just screams “Happy New Year!” to me. I got it from Fashion Nova and I can honestly say the colors look even better in person. This dress is great for twirling around in all night long and it’s definitely a top contender for NYE.
Black Shimmery Slit Dress
This sultry LBD is another top choice of mine! I got it from Forever 21 a while ago and I actually wore it for my 26th birthday photos. However, I never actually wore it out! It might be time for it to have its moment, because I definitely feel HOT in this dress. And you can’t go wrong with black!
Mesh Overlay Bodycon Dress
I recently wore this Fashion Nova dress out for a friend’s birthday and it was a big hit! The unique mesh overlay and curve-hugging silhouette really make this dress stand out. It’s not your typical NYE option, but it’s still such a fun look! When I wore it, I paired it with white booties and a white choker so I could really let the dress shine.
Rose Gold Sequin Shirt Dress
A shirt dress that buttons down the front is an unexpected choice for NYE, but I think the rose gold sequins make this totally doable! It’s chic and sassy at the same time. This is another Fashion Nova dress and I wore it out over the holidays. To accentuate my waist, I added a black corset belt. And for accessories, I added a boombox novelty bag, black tights, knee-high boots, rose gold shades, and statement Christian Siriano earrings shaped like champaign glasses.
Velvet Slit Dress
If sparkles aren’t really your thing, a velvet dress is also a great option. This one is from Shein and I love that it has two high slits. I jazzed it up with a statement jacket and bag, but taking a more simplistic approach to styling would be just as fabulous!
Black Sequin T-Shirt Dress
As I mentioned above, you really can’t go wrong with Black! A simple T-shirt dress, like this one from Eloquii, is a surprisingly good option for NYE because it’s so versatile! I added a chain belt to give it some shape, tights, silver hoops, and black boots. This is great for a more chill NYE get-together. But if you wanted to dress it up more, you could easily add a heel, a smokey eye, and some bling.
