Prior to me moving into my new apartment, I had been picking up some shoes and purses here and there because I knew once I moved my bills were going to go way up. I’m sure this surprises no one that knows me, but I am addicted to shoes and bags. Many of the people I know prefer to spend less on their shoes and more on their clothes, but I’m totally the opposite. I continue to buy clothes from more inexpensive retailers like Forever 21 and FashionNova, while I have no problem dropping over $100 on a pair of sneakers. But don’t get me wrong, my shoe and bag collections are a vast mixture of price points and brands.
As much as I love boots, the warmer months are my favorite time of year for shoes. My sneaker collection is probably my favorite part of my entire wardrobe. And I love a good purse too. With a designer bag you never have to worry about if the brand carries your size or how comfortable it will be. Bags are one of the best ways to elevate a look or add some personality to it.
Here are all of my most recent shoe and bag purchases! Some of these I’ve already been wearing frequently since I got them and others I haven’t got to rock yet — but I will soon!
BAGS
Steve Madden Backpack: I’ve seriously been carrying this to work every single day! It’s the perfect everyday bag because it has a little outside pouch for my metro card, the backpack style is hands-free and comfortable, and it fits everything I need.
Urban Outfitters Reversible Metallic Crossbody: I love the fact that this is reversible. It’s so fun and cute. I can’t wait to start using this on weekend outings.
Tommy Hilfiger Tote: This tote is so classic Tommy. Very Americana and a great design for summer.
Yoki Round Crossbody: This cutesy bag is so unique, I just had to have it. I’m also really into that rose gold/dusty rose trend so this totally caught my attention.
SHOES
Adidas Originals Tubular Shadow Sneakers: So comfortable! I already owned a pair of these in pink and I needed another. I got this more neutral color so I can wear them all the time. I found these at Urban Outfitters.
Forever Rose Gold Sparkle Sneakers: I wasn’t familiar with this brand when I found these for super cheap at Ross Department Store, but can we just talk about this glitter!? They were way too fabulous to pass up. I’m super excited to style them.
Comme des Garçons PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor: My absolute favorite shoes right now! If you follow me on Instagram then you have totally seen these before. I wear them every single week. Comme des Garçons is one of my favorite luxury brands and I was beyond excited when I found this in stock at Dover Street Market.
Air Jordan Bobcat 10’s: It’s been a minute since I got some new Jordans, so it was definitely time. I came across these Bobcat 10’s when I was shopping in Harlem and I couldn’t even believe it. I had tried to get these when they released a few years ago and they sold out too fast for me to get my hands on. When the guy said they had my size, I knew it was meant to be.
Reebok Purple Suede Sneakers: I got these on sale and they’re actually my only pair of Reebok’s right now. I love the purple suede.
Tommy Hilfiger Wedges: I got these to match the Tommy bag above. I needed new wedges and these are adorable!
Old Navy Lace-Up Gladiator Sandals: I got these sandals so I would have something comfortable to throw on this summer. I really like the gladiator style because it looks good with a dress, skirt, or pants.
