Earlier this year, Tarte Cosmetics dropped the ultimate mermaid collection. Pretty much every beauty influencer I follow was promoting it when it first released. I’ve been using these products for a couple months now and I wanted to share them because they’ve become some of my favorites! Although a lot of the full mermaid collection is no longer available, most of the things I have can still be purchased (and they’re on sale)! Summer may be almost over, but I feel like the mermaid trend isn’t going away anytime soon.
Minutes to Mermaid Brush Set
This makeup brush set is one of the nicest ones I’ve ever purchased. I honestly haven’t invested a lot in good makeup brushes before, so the ones I own probably aren’t the best quality to begin with. So I was really impressed when I received these Tarte brushes. They are super soft and easy to use. I use them for applying everything from eyeshadow to bronzer to highlighter. And can we just talk about how freaking cute they are!? These holographic mermaid brushes are probably the most adorable makeup brushes I’ve ever seen.
Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
This mascara is SO good! Besides my brushes, this was my other favorite thing out of the collection. It lengthens and adds volume, without looking clumpy and gross. It doesn’t smudge and it makes me feel like I have on fake lashes. It really is my new go-to mascara.
Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in “Exposed”
This limited-edition lip paint is a gorgeous light nude color. It is a great everyday shade and it really does dry quickly. It’s very lightweight and has a classic matte finish. My only complaint is that it can be a little too dry so I like to put gloss on over it.
Seashell Brush Holder
Since I got all of those cute brushes, it was only right that I get the adorable matching brush holder… right?! I have been using this shiny seashell to store all of my brushes since I got it. It is a pretty good size and looks great on my makeup shelves.
