What To Wear in Miami

What To Wear in Miami

Miami is a great vacation spot with tons of stuff to do. From beaches to clubs to fancy restaurants, you’re bound to have a good time. And if you’re thinking about planning a trip, something you might be wondering is, “Hmm, what to wear in Miami?” Well, I’m here to give you some outfit ideas for all different occasions.

Whether you plan on relaxing by the pool, partying, exploring the sights or all of the above, here’s some outfit inspiration if you need help figuring out what yo wear in Miami.

Pool Party

If you’re looking for a combination of swimming, drinking, and dancing, then you need to hit up a Miami pool party. For attire, you’ll obviously need a swimsuit and some kind of cute cover-up or outfit to go over it. I suggest coordinating your swimsuit with your outfit and accessories for the ultimate pool party look.

Pink Bikini, Flowy Top, and Denim Shorts

This cow print pink bikini is from Shein and so is my flowy pink sheer top. The denim shorts are my faves from Good American (similar). And the slides were a sale find at Macy’s.

Hitting the Clubs

Miami has a very lively nightlife scene. If you plan on going out, have fun with it! Don’t be afraid to show some skin if that’s your thing. I suggest wearing something sexy that you can still dance in!

Cut-Out Mini Dress

I love this little green dress. Surprisingly, I randomly found it at TJ Maxx and I have no idea what brand it is. I was worried about it being too small, but honestly I felt great in it! And it didn’t ride up throughout the night, which is one of my wardrobe pet peeves as a big booty girl. I paired it with green sunglasses from Amazon and white chunky Steve Madden sneakers.

Crop Top and Fringe Shorts

This black crop top is from Amazon and the fringe shorts are from Shein. If there’s ever a time to try new styles and step out of your comfort zone, it’s a Miami vacay! I was honestly surprised these two pieces worked together. But I ended up loving it!

Touristy Sightseeing

Miami has tons of cute sights and photo opportunities. I suggest wearing something fun and colorful to match the vibe of this energetic city.

Vibrant Printed Dress and Sandals

This dress is from Target and I love that it has a carefree ’70s look to it. I paired it with pink sandals from Shein and orange Victor Glemaud sunglasses.

Exploring the Art Scene

Wynwood, Miami’s art district, is full of colorful buildings and murals. The first time I went, I wore a blue tie dye mini dress, which was a fun look with the loud street art. The second time, I went with a bright solid dress. It popped so well against the equally bright scenery, without taking away from it in photos.

Yellow Midi Dress

This fringe dress is from Shein and so are the cream sandals. The yellow glasses and earrings are Amazon finds.

Tie Dye Dress and Bright Lipstick

This lightweight dress is from FashionNova, the sunglasses are from H&M, the metallic crossbody bag is from Urban Outfitters, and my sneakers are FILA Distributor 2s. The blue lipstick is Fenty Beauty.

Poolside Chillin’

I love a pool day and Miami is definitely somewhere you’ll want to consider booking a place with a pool. Obviously there are no fashion rules for poolside chillin’ except for where whatever makes you feel hot!

Cheeky Solid Bikini

This swimsuit is from Skims and I love it way more than I thought I would! You can check out my Skims Swim plus size try-on video on YouTube.

Vibrant High-Waisted Bikini

I don’t remember where I got this pink high-waisted bikini from. But, as you can tell, I love to wear bright colors while I’m on vacation — especially in Miami!

Boujie Dinner

There are plenty of dining options in Miami and it’s always nice to treat yourself to a fancy dinner on vacay. Whether you’re with your significant other or your besties, you should definitely make time for a delicious meal with good ambiance.

Bodycon Slit Dress, Sandals, and Gold Jewelry

This look was worn for dinner at the Versace Mansion. I opted for this printed bodycon dress from Shein because I felt like it gave Versace vibes. I paired it with gold accessories, and my cream sandals (if you’re a heels girl, those would be great for dinner too). And my ivory handbag, which matched my shoes pretty well, is from JW Pei.

Boat Outing

We love a boat ride! When dressing for this activity, you’ll want to wear clothes that can get wet, but also that you feel cute in.

Solid Bikini and Cutout Dress

I wore a purple bikini from the Stoney Clover Lane x Target collection with a black cutout dress from Shein over it.

Beach Day

And, of course, you have to spend time at the beach while in Miami. It’s one of the best parts about vacationing there.

Black One-Piece

You can never go wrong with a simple black one-piece. This one is from Forever 21. And I through some lightweight metallic joggers over it and my silver Filas for a chill look.

Color Block Bikini and Floral Cover-Up

Although I can’t exactly remember, I think this color block two-piece is from Amazon. For a fun mixed pattern look, I wore a floral button-up dress over it. And to complete the look I added some sunglasses, hoop earrings, and gladiator sandals from Old Navy.

Patterned Cut-Out Bikini

These are my favorite bikini bottoms! They go with any top and they’re super comfy. They’re from Swimsuits for All. The geometric print top is from Amazon. And my black sunnies are Ray Ban.
