As someone who has spent many Valentine’s Days single, I love the concept of Galentine’s Day. There’s no reason why us single ladies can’t put on cute Valentine’s Day outfits and enjoy the holiday with our besties. If you and your friends are looking to show some love to yourselves and each other this February, then here are a few fun ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day!
Throw a Galentine’s Day Party
I love hosting and I especially enjoy a get-together with a theme! For a couple years now, I have bought a bunch of Valentine’s Day-themed decor and props from Amazon and invited over a few of my closest friends. One year, we had brunch, a charcuterie board, Bloody Marys, and mimosas. This year, I made a pasta dinner and we had lots of wine and desserts. I always have a photo backdrop for us to take pictures together and, of course, I put together the ultimate playlist for single ladies.

Dress Up In Coordinating Outfits And Go Out For Dinner & Drinks
This is a more obvious one, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun! I love dressing up with my friends and if you all color coordinate then it makes the pictures look that much more incredible! Recently, I went to my first NYC speakeasy at the UES ice cream shop (tell them you’re there to “volunteer at the storage room”). My girls and I dressed in purple and red, had great cocktails and ice cream, and laughed all night.
The following weekend, I went out with a few of my other girlfriends to a cute lounge in Queens called Doha. We all wore red, there was a DJ playing throwbacks, and we had giant pineapple drinks, frosé, and tacos.
Go On A Friend Date To A Show Or Exhibit
I also love going to a Broadway show or even the movies with my girls. This is another fun excuse to dress up! And if you don’t feel like dressing up, you guys can totally have a wine and movie night in your pajamas. This month, I saw Lion King on Broadway with my friend Leah and I saw Dear Evan Hansen with my friend Rachel. Shout out to two-for-one Broadway week!
Do you ever celebrate Galentine’s Day?
