Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas For Single Ladies

I love dressing up for Valentine’s Day — and yes, that includes when I’m single! I’ve been single for years now and there’s no way I will let that hold me back from being cute and festive. So if you’re single too and you can’t decide on a Valentine’s Day outfit (or one for Galentine’s Day), then I’ve got some ideas for whatever kind of plans you decide to go with.

A statement-making dress

Just because you don’t have a date doesn’t mean you can’t dress up for brunch or dinner at your go-to spot! Go out with a fellow single friend or just treat yourself. You deserve to look good and enjoy a nice meal. For this look, I went with a bold printed midi dress. I love pulling something new out of my closet that I’ve been dying to wear — and this one was perfect for Valentine’s Day. This is from Target’s Black History Month collection and it was designed by Sammy B. I paired it with some pink glasses, a small bubblegum Telfar bag, and my new Skechers x DVF sneakers. I cinched my waist with a Gucci belt and added some gold hoop earrings.

A sassy set

If you’re single and ready to mingle, then going out dancing is a great option. And who doesn’t love posting revenge pics in a hot outfit for your ex to see?! This outfit didn’t come together, so I was shook at how well it turned out. The bralette is from Savage X Fenty and the skirt is from Never Fully Dressed. My heeled sandals are Steve Madden, the bag is JW Pei, and the sunglasses are Victor Glemaud x Target.

Pretty in pink

You can’t go wrong with a pink look this time of year! I would wear this to go out for dessert or a movie — something chill. The top is one of my favorites because it has a built-in bra. It’s from the woman-owned business Klassy Network. I paired it with jeans from Good American and light pink New Balance 420 V2 sneakers. The heart-shaped sunnies are Betsey Johnson and the bag is JW Pei.

A graphic tee and sneakers

This shirt is perrrrfect for anyone who knows the struggle of having your emotions played with by somebody’s son. Free yourself, girl! This “Block him & prosper sis” T-shirt is from a Black-owned small biz, Legendary Rootz. I paired it with faux leather pants from Eloquii, a faux leather blazer from Reb Dolls, my Supreme bag, and Love Moschino sneakers (the red sequin heart detail was just the right touch). This look is great for a chill evening with your besties.

Cutesy Pajamas

And if you would rather stay inside, eat chocolate, and watch rom-coms, then that’s okay too! Been there. So throw on some cute pj’s that make you feel good (and comfy). This onesie is from Dolls Kill and the socks are from Thunda Thighs on Etsy.
