Product Review: ColourPop x “My Little Pony” Collection

Product Review: ColourPop x “My Little Pony” Collection

When I first came across the ColourPop x My Little Pony collaboration I had major nostalgia! Although I didn’t really watch the My Little Pony cartoon as a kid, I did have a decent collection of the pony figurines — as most 90’s babies did. This collection was such a smart idea because not only is everyone all about the 90’s and early 2000’s lately, but it’s also right on board with all of the trendy unicorn stuff that we can’t escape (not that I’m complaining). When I saw how affordable the line was I was convinced that I needed it. I purchased a collection bundle on sale for only $30 and it included the eye shadow pallet, an ultra-glitter eye shadow, a highlighter, a matte liquid lipstick, and a lipgloss.

What’s left of the collection is all on sale for “last call.” So if you are debating getting it, you better grab it right now! I would rate it anΒ 8.5 out of 10. I think the collection is super cute, good quality, and very affordable. I would highly recommend checking out what’s left. The lipstick and lipgloss look really great separate or layered, the highlighter has a purple tint, but it’s still pretty subtle on, and the glitter shadow is super pretty.

The Packaging:

Of course the packaging is all adorable. A lot of purple and a lot of ponies. I love the cohesiveness and how they really just went for it from the little rainbows to the pony collages to the iridescent lettering.

Eyeshadow Pallet Swatches:

Of course the eyeshadow colors all have cute names, like the ponies: Butterscotch, Blossom, Starshine, Bluebell, Applejack, Skydancer, Minty, Flutterbye, Twilight, Firefly, Snuzzle, Princess Sparkle (not in order). They are pretty pigmented and most shades have a really nice shimmer. I also love the variety of both warm and cool tones.

I only got the palette from this collection but I love it! I wish there was a transition shade or two in there but I feel so creative when I use it πŸ™‚
