November 2018 Favorites + Reflection

November 2018 Favorites + Reflection

November was a super busy month filled with fun events. It really zoomed by. This month I was able to crank out three YouTube videos instead of two, I had Thanksgiving in NYC for the first time, and I went wild on Black Friday. I’m excited to head into December and I have so much fun content coming your way. Here were my favorite things, products, and moments from November.

November Favorites:

Beauty: All month long I used my Kylie Cosmetics KYLIE X JORDYN pallet. It is perfect for fall! Check out more of my new products from my Fall 2018 Makeup Haul. I also started using a Bite lipstick in the shade “Meringue.” It’s a great nude and feels very soft and smooth on.

TV Shows: For some reason, I decided to watch Gilmore Girls again for the third time. I’m all the way to season 7, so I’m almost done! As much as the level of toxically unaware privilege play a role in the show, I can’t help but love the relationship between Rory and Lorelai. Oy with the poodles already!

Books: I finally finished two short books I’ve been trying to read for a while. I read “That’s What She Said” by Kimothy Joy, which was a beautiful collection of quotes, portraits, and mini bios of a bunch of inspiring women throughout history. The book included Anne Frank, Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, Maya Angelou, and so many more. I also read “Read This If You Want To Be Instagram Famous.” Obviously I know that you can’t magically gain followers by reading a book, but I thought it would be interesting to gain a few tips and insights. It didn’t tell me much that I didn’t already know to be honest, but it was interesting and pretty cool to hear about how so many different kinds of accounts got their start.

Theater: So this isn’t technically a play, but I did go with Kailena to see The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. They were AMAZING! I would highly recommend seeing them if you haven’t before. This was my second time seeing them, but the first time was back in middle school so I didn’t remember anything. The special effects and the staging alone were spectacular. The whole theater transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland. And of course The Rockettes are incredibly talented and sooo in sync. I had so much fun.

Songs: My favorite song this month was hands down “Thank u next” by Ariana Grande. The best breakup song I’ve probably ever heard! And her video is SO iconic. I’m obsessed.

Places: I attended so many events in November. I went to a launch party for The Evening Standard’s Insider. I went to a fun exhibit called Wonder World in Soho. I went to PR events for StockX and Tazo Tea. I got to see The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. For Thanksgiving Kailena and I watched some of the Macy’s Day Parade from my office and then we cooked at our apartment. The next day, I did MAJOR damage on Black Friday shopping around Harold Square.

November Reflection:

November was very eventful. I think it was a good kick off for December, which is going to be even more busy. I love attending events and shows, it’s my favorite part about living in New York City –– there is always cool stuff to do. I had a lot of success with my H&M x Moschino YouTube video (below) so that was exciting. I am also really enjoying my new job! I am feeling extremely thankful and fortunate and I’m super excited for 2019!
