Last month my friend Rachel and I attended another fun NYC exhibit that was all about Instagram photo moments. I love these exhibits because the installations are so creative and they’re basically a blogger’s dream for creating interesting photos.
Wonder World was themed around Alice in Wonderland. First of all, I LOVE the Tim Burton version of Alice. I find it to be the perfect amount of weirdly imaginative. So of course I was excited to see a bunch of interactive art based on the classic story. The exhibit had a few moments that resembled the movie, specifically the first room that featured a magical tea party scene. However, the overall experience didn’t have much to do with the film or book. But that’s okay! It was still very dreamy and very cool.
The most popular spot featured a large ball and balloon pit where you could sit atop a giant crescent moon. There was a long line for that photo opportunity, but it was pretty cute! The other spots I liked a lot were the mirror room and the bathtub. There were also art murals of mushrooms, walls of flowers, clouds hanging from the ceiling, and macaroon pillows. Unfortunately, the exhibit is over now, but hopefully it comes back sometime! Check out all of my photos from the exhibit.
