September 2019 Favorites

Happy spooky season! It’s finally starting to feel like fall and I’ve already watched Hocus Pocus for the first time this month. If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, YouTube, and social media over the last few weeks then you already know that I had an insanely busy New York Fashion Week. All of my content lately has revolved around runway shows, designers, events, and what I wore.

But, now that Fashion Month has come to a close and I’ve finally completed all of my NYFW posts, it’s time to start thinking about what kind of content I want to do for the last few months of 2019 — starting with Halloween! Crazy right? So, like always, let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to see from me. In addition to NYFW, last month I also saw Frozen on Broadway, I saw Lizzo in concert (she was amazing!), one of my good friends had a wedding reception in the Bronx, and I went to a couple pop-up exhibits (Pixinity and Arcadia Earth). Plus, I met some amazing celebs including Lala Anthony, Keke Palmer, Christian Siriano, Hunter McGrady, and Hayley Hasselhoff.

I guess you could say it was a pretty magical month! Here are some of the products, shows, movies, and more of my September favorites!

September Favorites

Beauty: One of my new favorite eyeshadow pallets for fall is from the Il Makiage holiday collection. However, I don’t think it’s been released yet because I can’t seem to find it online! (The brand sent me some products to test.) However, I would totally suggest checking them out. I’ve had a really good experience with their products so far. I’ve also been using my MILK Kush lip balm in “green dragon.” It uses a hemp-derived cannabis sativa seed oil to hydrate and calm. It has a natural, satin finish and make my lips feel super soft.

Fashion: My go-to sneakers as of late have been my Ozweego Adidas. They’re SO comfy and breathable. I honestly want another pair.

Movies: I went to see Hustlers its opening weekend and I LOVED it! The cast was phenomenal and it was an entertaining combination of funny, intense, and interesting. It’s a film I would totally watch again and I suggest you check it out if you haven’t yet! I also watched Rihanna’s Savage Fenty runway show on Amazon Prime, which was EPIC. I am so obsessed with everything she does. It was inclusive, sexy, and unlike any other fashion show.

TV: I haven’t been super into anything in particular lately. I finished Bachelor in Paradise and I started rewatching Friends for its 25th anniversary (despite my feelings of the show being highly problematic and cringy at times).

Broadway: My friend Rachel won some lottery tickets for Frozen last month and was kind enough to invite me. The show was wholesome and sweet, just like the film. There were no major plot changes, but there were some additional songs added in. All of the actors fit their parts extremely well and it was a very fun show to watch. My favorite part was the amazing stage effects! Elsa’s magic consisted of everything from ice rising from the floor, snow falling from the sky, and incredible light shows that were honestly just too cool to describe.

Music: Since I saw Lizzo in concert last month at Radio City Music Hall, it’s only right that I share my favorite Lizzo song! Originally released in 2016, I just can’t get enough of “Good As Hell.” Although “Truth Hurts,” “Juice,” and “Tempo” are obviously high on my list as well.
