36 Fall Outfit Ideas For Curvy Girls

Although fall is often the most exciting season for fashion (fun jackets, cute boots, lots of layers, etc.) it still gets easy to lose motivation for anything other than sweatpants when the sun is setting earlier and earlier. However, I do find that getting dressed cute and cozy for a photo shoot, brunch, or a fall activity and getting out to enjoy the crisp fall weather can really lift my spirits! If you’re feeling a little uninspired in the fashion department right now, I’m here to help! I rounded up some of my fave fall outfit ideas for curvy girls. Of course, any body type can may be particularly helpful for my fellow plus size ladies.

1. A midi sweater dress, chunky heel booties, and a knit scarf

3. A sheer black top, black skirt, and combat boots

Not over spooky season yet? Wearing all black can really play into that ~witchy aesthetic~ without feeling like you’re waring a costume after Halloween. This top and skirt were purchased from luxury plus size designer Tamara Malas. These photos were also shot in Central Park.

4. A graphic tee, textured mini skirt, tights, and over-the-knee boots

Put those old concert tees to good use by styling them with your go-to denim (mine are from Good American) and a cute longline jacket.

6. Bike shorts, a crop top, sneakers, and a statement jacket

This outfit is definitely for your warmer fall days, but the bike shorts could easily be replaced with leggings if it’s too chilly. Owning a statement jacket, like this neon windbreaker, can make a simple outfit pop.

7. A hoodie, leggings, and sneakers

This may seem like an obvious outfit choice for working out, but the right hoodie and leggings combination can be effortlessly cool and stylish. The hoodie, leggings, and mask are from Dia & Co.

(I’m low-key cringing that I was wearing a full Fila outfit with Yeezy’s on, but I was traveling and didn’t have my Fila sneakers with me!)

8. The same as above, but try matching your hoodie to your sneakers

9. A sweatshirt, leggings, and a knit blazer jacket

Throwing an oversized blazer or tench over your sweater and leggings can make the outfit look instantly more chic.

10. A color block sweater, leggings, and combat boots

Who doesn’t love a good color block sweater?! It basically screams fall.

11. A crop hoodie and faux leather skirt

Mixing textures is always fun, especially during colder months. Try something somewhat unexpected by pairing a “dressier” leather skirt with a hoodie or sweatshirt. You could also add some tights and replace the sneakers with boots.

12. A pleated midi skirt, mock neck top, and platform sandals

This top and skirt are both from Target. And if it’s too chilly to have your toes out, this look would also work with some ankle booties.

13. A velvet bodysuit, crop jacket, burgundy pants, and white boots

Velvet is one of those textures that just works really well for the colder months and burgundy is a classic fall/winter color. Last year, I wore this for a night out during winter in NYC.

This T-shirt is from Forever 21 and it says “Your uniqueness is your magic.” The pants are from Eloquii, the duster is from Torrid, and the sneakers are Nike Blazers. I love how well the details in the shirt match the color of the duster!
