This year, I decided to rewear a costume that I bought back in 2020. Due to Covid, I never actually wore it outside of the house and it’s so cute that I decided it needed more of a proper ~moment~. I dressed up as Cher from Clueless and it turned out so good! As a ’90s baby and lover of all things Y2k, this movie is definitely one of my favorites. Here’s all the details on how I put together my plus size Clueless Halloween costume.
The costume is from Dolls Kill and it came with the plaid two-piece set, white stockings, and the yellow cropped sweater vest. I added some thrifted platform loafers, a white cami, and a blonde wig from Amazon. For accessories, I added some simple silver hoops and a hair clip, plus a pink fuzzy pen… because, of course. The inflatable retro phone is a prop I bought on Amazon for a Y2k-themed party.
I wore this look to a Halloween party in NYC with my friends. I changed into some white sneakers so I would be more comfy. The costume was def a hit! It’s always fun when everyone can easily tell who you are. And I like the fact that I added my own spin on a character that’s nothing like me. Cher is rich, white, thin, and blonde. I’m… none of those things lol. But I think that’s what’s fun about Halloween. You can have fun pretending to be a character that’s totally different from yourself.
And of course I had to make some TikToks with a few iconic quotes from the movie!
