When it’s cold and snowy outside, it’s definitely harder to get out of the house, let alone actually get dressed. But, with colder weather comes fun fashion opportunities, like knits, coats, and lots of layers. If you’re finding it difficult to be cute and warm, you’re definitely not alone. Here are some winter outfit ideas for curvy girls (or anyone really) that can hopefully give you some inspo! Because of the inconsistent weather in both New York and Michigan, not all of these outfits are super warm. But you can definitely add your fave coat to any look! ❄️ Winter Outfit Ideas for Curvy Girls ❄️
1. Knitted midi skirt, matching crop top, and booties
This matching set was purchased from Dolls Kill and it’s incredibly warm and cute. I paired it with a knitted blazer jacket and black booties for a textured neutral look.
2. Cropped sweatshirt, leggings, longline denim jacket, and Uggs
For an adventurous day around NYC, I wore this cropped Juicy Couture sweatshirt from Forever 21. I paired it with black leggings (a winter staple) and my longline denim jacket. I accessorized with a fuzzy Ivy Park belt bag and my super cute cow print Uggs.
3. Printed sweatshirt, matching joggers, booties, and puffer coat
I love a matching sweatshirt and sweatpants on a cozy winter day. This printed set is from Dia & Co. I layered a metallic puffer coat over it and added some black booties, which are both from Target.
4. Bodysuit, knit wide-leg pants, and a long sherpa coat
When in doubt, monochrome it! I put this sparkly bodysuit, knit pants, and fuzzy coat together because the colors were super similar. And I love how it turned out! My hair even matched.
5. Fuzzy sweater, dark wash jeans, platform booties, and a sherpa jacket
A fuzzy sweater is a must for winter. I love wearing this dark green one around the holidays. For this look, I paired it with dark jeans, a tan sherpa jacket, and tan booties.
6. Graphic tee, leggings, sneakers, and an oversized fuzzy shacket
A textured element is always a great way to elevate a winter look. This shacket is great for throwing on over a tee and leggings.
7. An animal print sweater, leggings, and a sherpa jacket
This sherpa jacket from Amazon is SO cozy. I was really warm wearing it over an oversized sweater (these photos are from December in Michigan).
8. Velvet hoodie and jogger set with sneaker boots
This comfy velvet set is from Skims and the sneaker boots are Yeezy. Do I look like I was styled by a Kardashian? Yes. Do I love it anyway? Also yes.
9. Long-sleeve crop top, knitted midi skirt, and booties
I wore this to a friend’s birthday dinner in early December. It kinda has fall vibes, but I still think it works for winter! It’s simple, yet chic. I found this skirt at Macy’s and the crop top is from a set I purchased on Amazon.
10. A black top, black pants, black boots, and a faux fur coat
I am obsessed with this faux fur animal print coat from Forever 21 (here’s a similar one from Shein). It can easily spruce up an all-black ensemble.
11. A textured dress, velvet bomber jacket, tights, boots, and a mini backpack
For another texture mashup, I wore a velvet puffer coat over a fuzzy dress. And you can never go wrong with black tights and black boots. This look has some ’90s inspo behind it.
13. A striped sweater dress, blazer jacket, tights, and sneakers
A sweater dress is super easy to throw on for almost any occasion. It can be easily dressed up or down. I wore mine with tights, sneakers, and my knit blazer jacket.
14. A crew neck sweatshirt, puffy jacket, jeans, and metallic sneakers
I love the ’90s-2000s nostalgia in this look. I wore it to the Millennium Tour. The sweatshirt is Baby Phat, jeans are Good American, and the sneakers are Fila.
15. Sweater, leggings, leather jacket, and sneakers
This gray sweater is from Forever 21, the faux leather blazer jacket is from Rebdolls, and the high-waisted leggings are Good American. I accessorized with my Coach x Marvel belt bag and my Black Acid Wash Nike Dunks.
Would you wear any of these looks? Which is your favorite?
